Individuals
Based upon your therapy goals and in consultation with you, we draw upon various forms of therapy uniquely tailored to your needs. We explore your personal history and experiences using a psychodynamic model. We work together to assist you to understand and heal from negative or stuck life experiences and traumas using mind/body approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, sensory-motor psychotherapy, and creative arts therapy. Based on a combination of insight/ self-awareness, and releasing stored traumas, clients notice that more adaptive responses to life situations become available. Art therapy is an optional adjunct to explore life themes and integrate new learning. We may also use relationship and communication skills training including NonViolent Communication (NVC) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, as better relationships can facilitate improved mental health and greater life satisfaction.
